New Font: Print More Legibly, Use Emojis and Double-Byte Languages
We have replaced the default font used by the Dusty FieldPrint platform, in order to improve legibility on the ground, provide support for double-byte languages, enable the printing of emojis, and better align to typical CAD design standards with proportional spacing.
- Font weights are automatically customized for legibility for each line print height.
- Users can print text and points using emojis, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.
- The new font is a custom implementation of Noto Sans which includes a slashed zero glyph (to distinguish from "O") and custom glyphs for boundary lines, flow lines, monument lines, and initial length.
AT500 Tracker
FieldPrinter 2 now supports the laser tracker model AT500, which features improvements to the connection flow and reduced setup time. When paired with the Dusty FieldPrinter 2, the AT500 delivers significant improvements in setup speed and ease of use while maintaining Dusty's industrial-grade 1/16" accuracy standard that is essential for mission-critical environments like data centers, healthcare facilities, and advanced manufacturing.
With the AT500 tracker and the associated radio box, once the connection between the iPad controller and tracker radio is established, they will negotiate channel selection automatically. The AT500 tracker must be used with a new, heavy duty tripod.
now supports the laser tracker model AT500, which features improvements to the connection flow and reduced setup time.
The AT500 currently does not support measurement point recording or floor elevation. For those use cases, customers should continue using AT930 trackers.
The AT930 tracker and radio continue to function with manual channel selection.
QR Code Improvements
QR codes now print smaller and more compactly, reducing print time and the risk of overlap with lines, points, or text annotations.
Other Enhancements
Line styles (e.g., dashed, dotted) are now supported on small arcs.
