This quality-focused update delivers a set of usability improvements, a few helpful new features, and some small bug fixes including a new add to print queue button, streamlined radio box connections, clearer print controls, and more consistent use of Simultaneous Framing and Finish Printing.
Add to Print Queue button
With the Print Queue button, Operators can add new shapes to the printing queue while the robot is printing. The print queue is accessible on the iPad via (1) the context menu accessed with a long-tap and (2) as a button in the Task Tab.
Streamlined Radio Box Connections
We’ve streamlined how you connect the robot to the tracker. When connecting the robot and tracker using the iPad, in the Stationing tab, instead of selecting a tracker type (AT930 or AT500), you will now select the radio type that you’re using: Radio 1 or Radio 2.
- Radio 1 supports the AT930 tracker and still uses the familiar connection flow: you’ll manually choose one of 16 channels both on the iPad and on the radio box itself. Disconnect the robot from Radio 1 by clicking the red “Disconnect” button. It can take up to 20 seconds to connect and disconnect.
- Radio 2 supports both AT930 and AT500 trackers with an updated workflow. Simply select the radio number, and the system will handle robot/radio pairing automatically with no need to choose channels. The robot and radio will remain paired even if they encounter interference and must change channels without requiring the Operator to intervene. Unpair the robot from Radio 2 by clicking the red “Unpair” button. It can take up to 20 seconds to establish the pairing.
This update simplifies setup and makes it easier to work with different hardware combinations in the field.
Clearer print controls: Start / Stop / Pause
We’ve moved the pause button to the iPad’s canvas.
- Stop stops printing and clears the print queue. New objects must be selected before printing again.
- Pause stops printing while saving the print queue, which can be resumed by clicking Continue.
View Layers more Clearly with Canvas Focus
Inspecting a layer (via the Layer Tab or the layer info bubble) now highlights the items on that layer in the canvas, while greying out other content. This makes it easier to visually isolate what you care about.
Show dimensions while drawing a rectangle obstacle
While drawing a rectangle to create an obstacle on the iPad, now temporary dimensions appear to tell you how large the rectangle is while you’re drawing it.
Bug fixes & small changes
- Simultaneous Framing and Finish Printing from the June 2025 release now works more consistently when selecting larger groups of lines at one time. The best practices from the prior release notes still apply.
- The option to print a calibration pattern was moved to Settings/Advanced Settings from the FieldPrinter tab.
- Fixed an issue where station verification and Orient-To-Gravity for the AT500 tracker failed when the robot was idle.
- Fixed a bug where tapping the password visibility icon would close the keyboard.
- Files with special characters like / and # in the name now open and update reliably.
