iPad in Spanish and Safety Improvements on Slopes
This release focuses on stronger printing reliability, better layout handling, and improved operator safety on challenging terrain. We’ve also added native Spanish language support on the iPad for field operators, and expanded in-app help resources.
Alongside these improvements, we’ve shipped several fixes and diagnostics to make layouts more robust, reduce incorrect prompts when offline, and improve visibility into system behavior during incident investigation.
Spanish Language Support
The iPad app now supports Spanish using the device’s system language settings:
- App text will automatically display in English or Spanish
- To manually switch languages:
Settings → General → Language & Region → Set Spanish as a preferred language
Operating on Slopes (Safety Improvements)
Robots now behave more safely when working on steep terrain:
- The robot will no longer roll away when entering idle mode by maintaining power to its wheels
- Operators will receive a warning when the detected slope is too extreme for safe operation
- Added safeguards for printing and operation under high-slope conditions
Expanded Help Resources on iPad
The Help menu now provides richer offline-accessible support including direct links to Dusty Academy content and guide videos and reference PDFs.
Small Improvements
- Better handling for printing layouts far from the origin
- Improved efficiency for a mechanism to print multiple shapes at once
- Made app update notifications less bothersome
