If the FieldPrinter won't power on, there are two things to check. Most cases come down to a button press that's too brief. If a longer press and a fresh battery both fail, a 30-second discharge procedure will clear the issue.
Hold the Power Button for the Full Duration
The most common cause is releasing the power button before the robot registers the press. Hold it down for until the status lights come on.
If the robot still doesn't respond, swap the battery for a charged one and try again before moving to the procedure below.
If Nothing Else Works: 30-Second Power Drain
When a battery swap and a longer button hold don't help, the robot needs a full discharge to clear its electrical state:
- Remove the battery.
- Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Reinsert the battery.
- Power on as normal.
This resolves cases where the robot won't respond to any standard attempt, including a known-good battery.
