The accessories pouch is the zippered pouch packed inside your FieldPrinter (FP2) case. It holds the small parts and consumables you use during setup and printing — verification reflectors, control point targets, wind guards, cleaning wipes, tape, and spare batteries. This article lists what's inside so you can check your pouch, find a specific item, or know what to reorder if something runs out or goes missing.
It answers "what's in the accessories pouch," "where are my control point targets," "where are the spare AA batteries," and "what came in the little zippered bag."
What's in the pouch
|
☐ 2 × Verification Reflectors Set a fixed reference point to confirm the tracker hasn't moved during a print session. |
☐ 1 × Black Duct Tape General-purpose tape — including taping down a verification reflector so it can't move. |
|
☐ 3 × Control Point Targets Use it as the reflector's base before scanning horizontal control points. |
☐ 15 × Ink Nozzle Cleaning Wipes Clean the ink nozzles and the robot's sensors. |
|
☐ 2 × Wind Guards Shield the print head from wind so ink lands cleanly when printing outdoors or in drafty areas. |
☐ 2 × AA Lithium Batteries Spare batteries for the joystick controller. |
|
☐ 1 × USB-C Charging Cable Charging cable for the iPad Pro. |
☐ 1 × USB-C Port Charger Wall charger for the USB-C charging cable. |
Keep the pouch zipped and stored in the FP2 case when not in use so small items don't get lost.
How the pouch items are used
- Verification reflectors and tape — Place a verification reflector at a fixed spot (e.g., wall, column, floor) and tape it down with the black duct tape so it can't shift. It becomes your fixed reference for confirming the tracker's position during printing. See How to Set Up and Use the Verification Reflector.
- Control point targets — Set these on your marked horizontal control points during stationing so the tracker and FieldPrinter can establish where they are.
- Wind guards — Attach these when wind could disturb the ink as it's laid down. See What Affects Print Quality.
- Alcohol wipes — Use them to wipe the ink nozzles and to clean the robot's sensors if prints look off or the app flags obstacles that aren't there.
- AA batteries — Spares for the joystick controller. If the controller stops responding, swap in the fresh pair from the pouch.
- USB-C cable and charger — For charging the iPad Pro.
If something is missing or runs out
If an item is missing when your equipment arrives, or you run low on a consumable like the alcohol wipes or lose a control point target, contact Dusty Support to have it replaced. Do not substitute off-brand parts for tracker or radio components.
