Overview
The AT500 has Light Emitting Diode (LED) indicators on the front of the telescope. These LEDs communicate the current system state at a glance; no menu navigation required.

Quick Status Guide
Instrument is off
All three LEDs are off (◯ ◯ ◯) with no light pattern. Power on the instrument to begin.
System booted, searching for target (PowerLock active)
LEDs show ⬤ ⬤ ⬤. The instrument is on, and PowerLock is actively searching for a reflector. No reflector has been locked yet.
System booted, searching for target (PowerLock inactive)
LEDs show ◯ ⬤ ◯. The instrument is on, but PowerLock has been turned off. Aim manually at your reflector.
Target out of range
LEDs show ◯ ✦ ◯ (center flashing red). The instrument cannot reach the target; move closer or check for obstructions.
Laser off — Stand-by mode
LEDs show ◯ ✦ ◯ (center flashing red). The laser has been turned off, and the instrument is in stand-by. Activate the laser to continue measuring.
Target locked — Ready to measure
LEDs show ⬤ ⬤ ⬤ (all solid green). The instrument has found and locked onto the reflector. You can begin measuring.
Measurement in progress
LEDs show ✦ ✦ ✦ (all flashing green). A measurement is actively being taken. Wait for the LEDs to return to solid green before moving the reflector.
PowerLock suspended (laser pointing)
LEDs show ✦ ⬤ ✦ (outer LEDs flashing blue, center solid red). PowerLock has been temporarily interrupted while the laser is in pointing mode. Once pointing is complete, PowerLock will resume automatically.
