Your Laser Tracker ships as a complete measuring system: the instrument itself, the cabling, and a set of accessories packed in the transport container. The AT500 and the AT930 share most of that hardware, and the differences come down to one thing: the AT930 needs a separate AT Controller, while the AT500 has the controller built into the instrument.
What Dusty ships you
You receive one laser tracker — the Leica Absolute Tracker AT500, the AT930, or the AT930-NRT. Which model you get determines the radio and cabling in the case.

The two trackers handle power differently. The AT500 has internal GEB364 batteries and ships with two of them. The AT930 has no internal battery: it draws power through the AT Controller, which takes an AC power supply, a battery unit, or both. Leica does not include a battery unit in the AT930 container.
Both containers hold the laser tracker, cabling, and radio. The AT500 container adds batteries and chargers. The AT930 container adds the AT Controller and its sensor cable.
The AT500 container has no sensor cable because there is no separate controller to connect. The AT930 container has no batteries or charger because the AT930 has no internal battery.

Buttons and LEDs on the left side

RESET button
The RESET button sits inside the battery compartment on the right side of the instrument, not with the other buttons on the left. DO NOT PRESS. Pressing the RESET button will unconfigure the tracker making it incompatible with the radio and the FieldPrinter.

Description of AT930 Status LEDs
The AT930 uses three LED colors: Red, Green, and Blue in various patterns. Use the table below to identify what each combination means.

AT Controller components
The AT Controller runs the system software and is the interface between the AT930 and the radio. The AT500 has no equivalent unit.

Real-Time Feature Pack and the AT930-NRT
RTFP (Real-Time Feature Pack)
The optional Real-Time Feature Pack for Absolute Tracker AT930/AT960 is designed to provide cyclic measurement data in real-time over an industrial field bus protocol, for example EtherCAT, with minimum jitter and small latency. The RTFP acts as a slave in the external automation bus system.
The RTFP is an add-on to the AT Controller which is service fitted by Dusty.
Laser tracker sets with an RTFP will come with a Radio 1 or Radio 3. Laser tracker sets without an RTFP will come with a Radio 2 or Radio 3.
Shutting the AT930 down
Always shut the AT930 system down properly. Press the power switch for 2 seconds, then release it as soon as the shut-down splash screen appears.
